Schedule Details
Day 01: Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station – Phuentsholing

Distance: 156 km | Drive: ~5 hrs
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, meet and greet by our representative and proceed to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan.
Check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Phuentsholing



Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu

Distance: 150 km | Drive: ~5 hrs
After breakfast, complete immigration formalities and drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. Enjoy scenic mountain views en route.
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Evening free to explore Norzin Lam, the main street.
Overnight: Thimphu

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to Discover the unique charm of Thimphu with guided sightseeing:

  • National Memorial Chorten
  • Buddha Dordenma Statue
  • Takin Zoo (National Animal of Bhutan)
  • Photo stop at Trashichho Dzong
  • National Library
  • Folk Heritage Museum
  • Handicrafts Bazaar

    Evening free for shopping around Clock Tower Square.
    Overnight: Thimphu
Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha via Dochula Pass

Distance: 77 km | Drive: ~2 hrs 45 mins
After Breakfast Drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (10,000 ft), adorned with 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and panoramic Himalayan views (weather permitting).

Visit Royal Botanical Park – Lamperi.

Continue to Punakha Valley and visit:
Punakha Dzong
Suspension Bridge

Overnight: Punakha

Day 05: Punakha – Gangtey Valley (Day Excursion)

Distance: 72 km | Drive: ~2.5 hrs (one way)
Proceed to the breathtaking Gangtey Valley, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful glacial valleys.

  • Pass by Wangduephodrang Dzong
  • Visit Gangtey Monastery
  • Learn about the endangered, Black-Necked Cranes (seasonal)

    Return to Punakha by late afternoon.
    Overnight: Punakha
Day 06: Punakha – Paro

Distance: 145 km | Drive: ~4 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Paro Valley via scenic highways.
Stop at Chunzom Bridge for a short walk and photo opportunity.
Check in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
Overnight: Paro

Day 07: Paro Sightseeing

After Breakfast proceed to Explore Paro’s cultural treasures:

  • Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong)
  • National Museum (Ta Dzong)
  • Paro Penlop Heritage Farmhouse
  • Kyichu Lhakhang (7th-century temple)
  • Drukgyel Dzong Ruins
  • Drive till the base of Tiger’s Nest Monastery

    Evening free for shopping in Paro town.
    Overnight: Paro
Day 08: Paro – Phuentsholing

Distance: 140 km | Drive: ~5 hrs
After breakfast, drive back to Phuentsholing.
Check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Phuentsholing

Day 09: Phuentsholing – Bagdogra / NJP Railway Station (Departure)

After Breakfast in the Morning transfer to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station with wonderful memories of Bhutan.
